 Coffee machine owners have been left out in the cold since the UK's only distributor and service centre for Gaggia and Saeco machines went into receivership in July of 2009.
The company that owns the Italian-based Gaggia brand, Saeco, was purchased by Dutch electrical giant Philips, further complicating the supply lines for spares.
Philips have yet to set up a new Gaggia Distributor in the UK, we therefore made the decision to commence service for Gaggia Saeco coffee machines in the UK to give support and fill the gap in the market to machine owners during this difficult time.
In December 2009 we established GAGGIA-SERVICE.CO.UK aiming to provide Gaggia Saeco machine owners with a reliable supply of spare parts and a quality service. We supply new and refurbished machines and are currently taking orders for spare parts from all over Europe.
We have been hearing from our customers how bad the service was prior to the collapse of Gaggia UK. After waiting several months for repairs, customers either found their machines would be returned with reoccurring problems, or not repaired at all, or their machines would be lost and never seen again! An awful situation for such a iconic brand.
During our first three months of trading here at GAGGIA-SERVICE.CO.UK, business has been overwhelming. We have been encouraged by the positive feedback, repeat custom and resounding recommendations we are getting on a daily basis.
Our business model takes servicing to a completely new level of satisfaction. Each bean to cup machine typically receives 9 hours of service, which often includes a complete rewiring job (as the components of these machines are difficult to get at and poorly wired from manufacture), leaving everything neat, tidy and safe. We perform full testing and fault finding, replacement of faulty parts, a complete clean, stringent 20 cycle test including flow and temperature tests. We carefully pack each machine to ensure it is returned in tip-top condition.
We have established reputable suppliers in Italy for all genuine Gaggia technical information and replacement parts, and we have all the technical expertise and training to carry out your repairs to the highest standards.
To improve our work flow we are currently expanding into a dedicated workshop and have a vacancy for an apprentice.
